I have always enjoyed Smutty's Finestkind IPA. Its an American IPA that is very well balanced and easy to drink at 65 IBUs. I tend to like IPAs that have a grapefruit hop character and this one fits the bill.

Just last weekend I tried Mayflower Brewing IPA. WOW! I loved this IPA. Don't know if you can get it in your neck of the woods but if you see it, grab it. Very easy to drink and enjoyable. Again, grapefruit character and not overly bitter at 69 IBUs.

I think IPAs are certainly an acquired taste. I used to avoid them like the plague but they have grown on me over the past two years and have become my "go to" beer. Still, the 168 is a little scary. I'll put it in queue and let you know how it goes.

Unfortunately, the IPA style has not grown on me(yet)and so I do tend to avoid them. I think I'm the only person on earth who doesn't like the Dogfish Head 60!

I say give it a try and let us know!
